Pineta di Monte Agruxau

The Pineta di Monte Agruxau is located in the territory of Iglesias, in Sulcis-Iglesiente, near the historically linked area to the mining complex of Monte Agruxau. It is a natural space immersed in a context strongly marked by the industrial and mining history of the territory.
The area is characterized by a dense vegetation of pines and Mediterranean scrub, which develops on hilly reliefs and partly reconverted soils after the extractive activities of the past. This balance between nature and industrial archaeology makes the site particularly interesting from a landscape point of view.
The pine forest is now an area of nature and recreation, used for walks, outdoor activities and moments of relaxation. The routes present allow you to explore a quiet and shaded environment, with shortcuts that recall the memory of the old mining area.
