Piscina naturale di Punta Caragoli

The natural pool of Punta Caragoli is located along the coast of Sulcis-Iglesiente, in the territory of Sant’Antioco, and is a natural formation of great landscape charm. It is a rock basin shaped by the action of the sea, which creates a sort of natural basin bordered by rocks and smooth walls.
The area is characterized by rocks shaped by sea erosion, clear waters and low backdrops, elements that make the site particularly suggestive from a visual point of view. The contrast between rocky surfaces and the sea contributes to creating a typical environment of the wildest coasts of Sulcis.
The surrounding vegetation is that of the Mediterranean coastal scrub, adapted to conditions of wind and salinity, which helps maintain the balance of the ecosystem. The morphology of the natural pool is the result of natural processes linked to the ondous motion and erosion over time.
