Promontorio della Grotta Azzurra

The Promontory of the Blue Grotto is located in the territory of Masua (Iglesias), in the Sulcis-Iglesiente, and is a coastal stretch characterized by rocky reliefs overlooking the sea of south-western Sardinia. The area is known for the presence of cavities and marine coves that contribute to the strong landscape value of the site.
The promontory is inserted in a context of limestone cliffs, crystal clear sea and coastal mining archaeology, typical of the Masua area. The conformation of the rock and the exposure to the sea create games of light and reflections that make the surrounding environment particularly suggestive.
