Punta San Michele

The Punta San Michele is located in the Marganai massif, in the territory of Iglesias, in Sulcis-Iglesiente, and is one of the most panoramic peaks of the area, with an altitude of about 906 meters. The relief is inserted in a mountain context rich in woods, limestone reliefs and traces of the mining tradition of the territory.
The summit is characterized by a natural environment dominated by Mediterranean vegetation, forests and rocky outcrops, typical of the Marganai complex. The conformation of the soil makes the area a privileged point for the observation of the surrounding landscape.
From the top there is a wide panorama that embraces the plain of Cixerri, the city of Iglesias and the south-western coast of Sardinia, offering a complete view of the territory between mountain interior and coastline.
