Ruderi impianti Monteponi

The Ruderi of the Monteponi plants are located in the territory of Iglesias (SU), in Sulcis-Iglesiente, and are what remains of one of the most important mineral complexes of Sardinia. The area represents a significant evidence of industrial archaeology linked to the extraction of lead and zinc.
The site preserves abandoned industrial structures, including sheds, processing infrastructure and remains of mining plants, which tell the long production history of the district of Monteponi. The complex is now partly abandoned, but maintains a strong historical and documentary value.
