Sa Macchina Beccia

Sa Macchine Beccia is located in the Sulcis-Iglesiente, in a hilly context characterized by rocky reliefs, Mediterranean scrub and traces of anthropization related to the mining history of the territory. The site is known for the presence of structures and artifacts linked to activities of the past, today inserted in a natural environment in progressive vegetable reconquest.
The area is dominated by calcareous rocks and formations shaped by erosion, alternating with structural stone remains and elements related to industrial archaeology. This contrast between nature and historical human presence contributes to defining a particular and stratified landscape.
The vegetation is made up of Mediterranean vegetation, oaks and resistant shrub species, which have gradually colonized the area, integrating with existing structures and creating a balance between natural environment and testimonies of the past.
