Sa Spindua

Sa Spindua (or Sa Spindula) is a picturesque natural area of Sulcis-Iglesiente, known for the presence of waterfalls and natural pools immersed in a wild and strongly shaped environment by erosion. The name, of Sardinian origin, literally means “the waterfall”, recalling the nature of the site.
The area develops in an environment characterized by rocky gorges, water streams and limestone walls, where the passage of the water has created over time jumps, natural basins and small clear pools. These geomorphological elements make the landscape particularly scenic and dynamic.
The surrounding vegetation is typical of the Mediterranean vegetation, with holm oaks, shrubs and species that grow along the water streams. The context is strongly natural and maintains a high degree of environmental integrity.
