Spiaggia di Porto Botte

The beach of Porto Botte is located between the territories of Giba and San Giovanni Suergiu, along the S.S. 195 Sulcitana, in the heart of Sulcis, and is one of the most peculiar coves of the south-west Sardinia. It is not a “classic” beach, but a large coastal system that opens between the sea and the lagoon, with a wide landscape, flat and strongly influenced by the wind.
The beach consists of clear and fine sand, with very low seabeds in the inner area and waters that become deeper outwards of the cove. Here the sea is often moved and windy, a characteristic that makes it one of the most important points of Sardinia for kitesurfing and windsurfing, thanks to the constant conditions and open space.
