Spiaggia di Portu Ferru

The beach of Portu Ferru is located in the territory of Masua, in the municipality of Iglesias, along the south-western coast of Sardinia, in one of the most iconic stretches of Sulcis-Iglesiente. It is a small cove set between high limestone cliffs, in a landscape strongly marked by mining history and a still very harsh and scenic nature.
The beach consists of mixed pebble sand and small pebbles, with a generally clear, deep sea and intense shades, ranging from turquoise to dark blue. The seabeds are mainly rocky and irregular, which makes it particularly suitable for snorkeling and swimming in the open sea, especially on calm sea days.
