Stagno della Vivagna

Stagno della Vivagna is a charming natural wetland located in the territory of Carloforte, on the island of San Pietro, in Sardinia. This area is an important coastal ecosystem characterized by lagoon environments and shallow waters, fundamental for local biodiversity. The pond is in fact a precious habitat for many species of aquatic birds, flora typical of the humid zones and fauna linked to the brackish environments. Entered in a naturalistic context of great environmental value, it is one of the protected areas for the conservation of ecosystems according to the directive “Habitat”, contributing to the safeguarding of the Mediterranean nature.
