Stagno ‘e Forru

Stagno 'e Forru is a charming coastal wetland located in the territory of Portoscuso, along the south-western coast of Sardinia. This natural environment represents an important ecosystem of transition between land and sea, characterized by saltwater and typical habitats of the Mediterranean lagoon areas. The area is particularly relevant from the environmental point of view because it houses numerous species of aquatic birds and vegetation adapted to the humid environments, contributing to the biodiversity of the territory. The pond plays a key role in the conservation of the coastal ecosystems of Sulcis.
