Statue of the small miner "Antonixeddu" is a commemorative work located in Iglesias, in the heart of the mining territory of Sulcis Iglesiente. This statue of the small miner Antonixeddu represents the symbolic figure of the young miner, homage to the memory of the many children and boys who have worked in Sardinian mines in difficult conditions. The sculpture recalls with strong emotional impact the history of child labour in the mines, becoming a symbol of identity, sacrifice and historical memory of the territory.
