Strada Romana da grotta di Su Mannau

The Roman Road of Su Mannau is located in the territory of Fluminimaggiore, in the Sulcis-Iglesiente, and is an ancient historical and archaeological route that connects the famous Su Mannau Cave with the site of the Temple of Antas. It is a route of ancient origin, probably used in Roman times and previously linked to routes already frequented in nuragic and punica age.
The track had a strong religious and symbolic value, connecting two fundamental sacred places: the cave, associated with the cult of the underground waters, and the temple, dedicated to the local deity then Romanized in Sardus Pater.
