Su bratzu

On Bratzu – A vintage cork tree is located in the territory of Sulcis-Iglesiente (SU), in south-western Sardinia, and is an arboreal specimen of great naturalistic and identity value. It is an ancient quercus suber, known as cork, which stands out for its size and for the estimated age very high.
The tree represents a living testimony of the Mediterranean forest landscape, typical of the interior areas of Sardinia, where cork has always played a central role in the ecosystem and rural economy. Its presence highlights the continuity between natural environment and local traditions related to cork processing.
