Tomba dei Giganti Monte Pranu IV

The Tomb of the Giants IV of Monte Pranu (Villaperuccio) is a funerary monument of the nuragic civilization, dating back to the Bronze Age, located in the territory of Sulcis. The site is part of the largest archaeological complex of Monte Pranu, known for its high concentration of megalithic collective burials.
The structure follows the typical scheme of the Tombs of the Giants, with an elongated funerary corridor made of stone blocks and a semicircular frontal esedra, destined to the ceremonies and community rituals related to the worship of the dead. The original plant was completed by a tumulus of land and stone, now no longer preserved.
The presence of several close tombs in the same context highlights the importance of the area as a funerary space and ritual for the nuragic communities, strengthening the archaeological value of Mount Pranu as a true necropolar complex.
