Tomba di giganti Su Forru ‘e Sa Teula

The Tomba dei Giganti Su Forru 'e Sa Teula is a funerary monument of the nuragic civilization, dating back to the Bronze Age, located in Sardinia and inserted in the wider context of the megalithic architectures of the island. The site represents a significant testimony of the collective burials and funeral cults of the ancient nuragic communities.
The structure is realized with large lithic blocks and presents the typical conformation of the Tombs of the Giants, consisting of an elongated funerary corridor destined to the depositions and a semicircular frontal exedra, space dedicated to the community rituals related to the worship of the dead.
The characteristic element is the presence of the central stele, which symbolically marked the entrance of the tomb and represented a ritual and identity reference point. Originally, the whole complex was covered by a mound of land and stone, now no longer preserved.
