Torre di Porto Paglia

The Tower of Porto Paglia is located in the territory of Gonnesa (SU), in Sulcis-Iglesiente, and is a historic coastal sighting tower built with defensive function and control of the coast. The property is part of the coastal towers system present along the south-western coast of Sardinia.
The tower is situated in a panoramic position directly on the sea, in a context characterized by beaches, cliffs and open sea, typical of the coast of Porto Paglia. Its location allowed in the past the monitoring of boats and the defense of the territory from raids.
