The Fire Brigade – Detachment of Iglesias, located in Corso Cristoforo Colombo in Iglesias, represents a fundamental operational presidium of the National Fire Brigade for the territory of Sulcis-Iglesiente. The structure is inserted in the public rescue network coordinated at the provincial level and guarantees rapid interventions in emergency situations such as urban and forest fires, road accidents, structural dissecters and safety activities.
The detachment plays a strategic role not only in direct intervention, but also in the activities of prevention and civil protection, collaborating with local authorities and law enforcement. The headquarters of Iglesias is operating as a reference point for a wide area of south-west Sardinia, contributing to the management of emergencies in a territorial context characterized by urban, industrial and rural areas.
